BGR Piper Race Cars Completes 2019 Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Line Up With Mackenzie Clark.

Brian Graham Racing is pleased to announce the signing of Mackenzie Clark. The 14 year old karting stand out is a Pfaff junior driver and will compete in the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship and select Quebec Formula Tour 1600 events. Mackenzie tested with the team in 2018 and showed great pace while quickly immersing himself into the BGR family.

“We are very excited about the upcoming season with Mackenzie and will work very hard to give him and his teammates everything they need to maximize their results. We have been working with “Mac” for a while and he fits right in with our team. He has an outstanding karting resume and early testing indicates he will bring an eagerness to learn and develop his skills in F1600.” Comments team Principal Brian Graham.

“I am super excited to start a new chapter in my career with Brian Graham Racing, I can’t wait for Brian to take me to the next level like he has done for so many other pro drivers. F1600 racing will be a big step in my journey up the motorsports ladder. I am pumped to see what we can do in 2019 with BGR. I feel privileged to have the opportunity of racing in the F1600 series, racing on the same tracks as the people I look up to. Circuits such as Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve are a large part of Canadian motorsports. The atmosphere in the car racing paddock is great and I look forward to becoming a part of it.”

Mac will turn 15 just before the season starts and joins BGR teammates Matthew Barry and Jonathan Woolridge
aboard the BGR Piper DL7/Hondas. As with every off season, the team has been working on several upgrades to the already winning cars. The team will run a minimum of 5 preseason test days to prepare for what looks like a
very competitive 2019 season. All 3 of BGR’s rookies will be vying for the Rookie Of The Year honours with an eye
on the Championship as well.

BGR is the Canadian distributor for Piper Racecars and is a factory supported team of the popular chassis which is built in California, USA. The all new Piper DL7 debuted in 2014 and grabbed it’s first win at CTMP during the Al Craighead Can Am Cup.

BGR has put more drivers in the winner’s circle than any other team in Ontario F1600 (OFFC) history and has an incredible run winning the Rookie of the Year for 10 of the last 13 years. With an alumni list that boasts drivers who have gone on to win championships all over North America, to several starters in the Indy 500, BGR is well known as the place to begin a career in open wheel racing
